Certified DEI Coach | Course Description | 6-Hour ICF Accredited Level 1

This program is best suited for individuals with a strong interested in DEI, HR and Health Professionals and Executives. Accredited learning-hours through the International Coaching Federation (ICF). Based on the coaching core competencies as identified by the ICF, the Certified DEI Practitioner Program inspires, trains and certifies motivated individuals through the use of our easy to learn, highly effective system that is results-driven. Program hours can be accumulated toward Level 1 for students undertaking our 87-hour program or CCE's for non-students.

With ongoing changes in legislation regarding the need for every business to recognize and adhere to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, every individual within the corporate, for profit and not-for-profit sectors must determine if adding DEI certification to his or her resume will set them ahead of others contending for the same job opportunities.

Designed to help you become proficient in the DEI space, "Hands Across The Aisle" provides a foundation and the framework you need to support DEI initiatives and drive diversity, inclusiveness, and belonging within your organization, your team, and your community. Our diversity and inclusion certification curriculum is based on simple, yet powerful principles, which are consistent with research on the most effective modes of adult learning and behavioural change.

Delivered at a distance via ZOOM, the DEI Coach offers 6-hours of ICF accredited training, delivered over a 1-day sitting. No additional in-person classroom time is required.

The curriculum focuses on coaching foundations in DEI. You will begin your DEI coaching feeling confident in understanding the issues that your clients are facing. Understanding your client is the key to assisting them to define and reach their goals with the addition of the solid foundation of core coaching competencies learned via the Certified LIFE Coach Program.

To become a diversity coach, an individual should hold some personal experience or well-completed research in multicultural and diverse communities, become well versed in diversity and inclusion terminology and definitions, and learn about various instructional design and delivery. Expand your perspective and respect for a client’s identity, experiences, values, and beliefs.
